The JAECOO 7 remained the brand’s best-selling model with 3,027* registrations for the model alone, also placing it fourth in the May sales ranking and third best-selling car in the UK year-to-date. The smaller JAECOO 5 recorded a strong individual figure of 1,935 registrations in the month of May*.
Market share for the dual brand house also increased month-on-month. The SMMT figures showed a rise from 4.79% in April to 4.95%* in May, indicating a strong sales trajectory for OMODA&JAECOO UK, as well as increasing consumer confidence in the brand and its multiple product offerings.
A deeper look at the recorded registrations reveals another interesting trend. While many other car companies benefit from leasing contracts, the figures for OMODA&JAECOO UK show that an impressive 63% of registrations come from private buyers, underlining the brand house’s desire to have a strong dealer footprint – currently standing at 136 retailers.
The OMODA range includes the OMODA 5 (SHS-H, ICE, EV), OMODA 7 (SHS-P, ICE on sale later in 2026) and flagship OMODA 9 (SHS-P). The JAECOO line-up features the JAECOO 5 (SHS-H, ICE, EV), the JAECOO 7 (SHS-P, SHS-H, ICE; AWD/FWD) and the newly launched all-wheel-drive JAECOO 8 SHS-P, available in two distinctive seat configurations to appeal to a wider range of buyers.
