The first JAECOO 8 SHS-P vehicles have now been delivered to customers across the UK, marking the arrival of the brand’s new flagship on British roads. Following its introduction earlier this year, the start of customer deliveries represents a defining moment for JAECOO, as the brand continues to build momentum and establish itself within the UK market. Now available through the brand’s growing network of 136 retailers nationwide, the model is priced from £45,500 OTR* for the 5+2 JAECOO 8 SHS-P Luxury and £47,500 OTR* for the 4+2 Executive model.

Positioned at the head of the range, the JAECOO 8 SHS-P brings together performance, composure and long-distance efficiency in a format designed for modern, multi-purpose use. Bringing three-row luxury to JAECOO for the first time, the JAECOO 8 SHS-P joins a rapidly expanding line-up that includes the award-winning JAECOO 7 – which became the UK’s best-selling new car in March 2026, with over 10,000 units sold in the month alone*** – alongside the more compact JAECOO 5 range. Together, these models underline the pace at which JAECOO has entered and established itself in the UK, with strong early demand reflecting growing customer confidence in the brand.

All JAECOO 8 SHS-P variants are powered by Chery International’s advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS), which, in this plug-in hybrid form (SHS-P), pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 3-mode DHT, a 34.46 kWh battery and all-wheel drive (AWD). The result is a combined output of up to 428 PS and 580 Nm, enabling a 0-62 mph time of just 5.8 seconds, while maintaining CO2 emissions of just 14 g/km. The SHS-P is engineered to deliver smooth, responsive performance alongside the efficiency and range expected of a flagship model that’s capable of a combined driving range of over 700 miles.

Customers can choose from distinct configurations. The first is the 5+2-seat JAECOO 8 SHS-P Luxury, which has been designed with flexibility in mind, offering generous interior space, multiple ISOFIX points and a flexible interior layout suited to family life. From daily routines to longer journeys, the cabin is arranged to accommodate changing needs with ease, supported by thoughtful storage and a strong sense of usability throughout.

The 4+2-seat JAECOO 8 SHS-P Executive takes a more focused approach to comfort and refinement, placing greater emphasis on passenger comfort and a premium rear-seat experience. The interior is centred around four heated, ventilated and massaging captain’s chairs, creating a more considered and spacious environment for those travelling in both the front and second rows. Extendable thigh support for the driver, a more open cabin layout and carefully integrated seating positions contribute to a calmer, more composed atmosphere on the move. Two additional foldable seats are positioned in the rear for occasional use, ensuring that practicality is retained without compromising the overall sense of space and comfort.

For the first time on a JAECOO, both configurations are also available with a newly introduced cognac interior colourway, offering a warmer, more tactile contrast to the standard finish. Designed to bring greater depth and material richness to the cabin, the cognac factory option, priced at £1,000, adds a more expressive layer to the JAECOO 8’s interior, reinforcing its positioning as a considered and contemporary flagship.

Customer deliveries of the JAECOO 8 SHS-P continue a highly successful year for JAECOO in the UK. Since January, JAECOO has continually built its brand presence, supported by growing demand, an expanding product range, and early success across key segments. This was underlined by the enormous success of JAECOO 7, which became the best-selling new car in the UK in March 2026, with 10,064 units sold that month alone and 17,688 units sold since the beginning of the year***.

The JAECOO 8 SHS-P is now available through OMODA&JAECOO’s 136-strong, UK-wide dealer network. The JAECOO 8 SHS-P Luxury is priced from £45,500 OTR*, while the JAECOO 8 SHS-P Executive will start from £47,500 OTR*. All models include a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, an 8-year battery warranty for SHS-P variants, and RAC Home Start as standard for the duration of the warranty**.
