Meet Thomas Meeke — calm, considered, and powered almost entirely by rice.
Originally from near Stratford-upon-Avon and now a fully adopted Yorkshireman, Thomas is one of Batchelors York’s Sales Consultants, known for his thoughtful approach to customers and his impressive ability to talk cars without ever raising his voice.
Being vegan means rice has become Thomas’ most loyal companion — quick, reliable, and always there when needed (much like his sales process).
His current ride is an Audi TT, but the dream is the louder, faster, slightly more mischievous Audi TTRS — because sometimes you do want extra noise.
Outside of work, Thomas lives on two wheels. He bought his first proper road bike in 2017, got frighteningly fast by 2020 (a peak he’ll happily remind you about), and now owns two road bikes and a gravel bike, because apparently one wasn’t enough to cause enough pain.
Holidays aren’t really his thing, but he’ll travel for the right reasons — namely the Barcelona Grand Prix in 2024, where fast cars and hot weather finally convinced him to take time off.
As a kid, Thomas dreamed of football glory and even had trials at York City at the age of 10, before realising he loved the game far more than the early nights and serious faces.
Musically? Best not ask. His Spotify Wrapped is under lock and key.
