Meet Stuart Weatherdon – the man who can fix anything, build anything, and probably invent something in the process. As a Master Technician and MOT Tester at Batchelors York, Stuart is the one you want under the bonnet when your car's playing up... or when you just want someone to explain why your washing machine suddenly sounds like a jet engine.
Born and raised in Harrogate, Stuart’s mind is a brilliant mix of curiosity and engineering chaos. He proudly admits to tinkering with everything, researching obsessively, and assembling things that were never meant to be together – think mad scientist, but with socket wrenches instead of lightning bolts.
His dream car? The legendary Porsche GT3 RS – and with his skills, we wouldn’t be surprised if he built one out of spare parts and stubbornness alone. After a long day in the workshop, you’ll find him winding down with a well-deserved Chinese takeaway and plotting his escape to Hawaii – sun, sea, and absolutely zero MOTs.
As for childhood dreams? Stuart did want to be a car mechanic – and we’d say becoming a Master Technician is a pretty impressive level-up. Mission very much accomplished.
