Meet Matthew Nicholson — Ripon’s own motorsport-loving, ski-sliding, squash-smashing, golf-guru Sales Consultant. Originally from York, Matthew now enjoys the fresh air (and fewer neighbours) in the countryside with his wife and their three boys:
When he’s not helping customers find their perfect car, you’ll find him knee-deep in his ’72 MGB convertible restoration—nut and bolt, all summer long—or dreaming of cruising in a Ferrari 308 GTB (patience required).
Matthew’s a sports enthusiast through and through: skiing, squash, tennis, and golf (he was a +3 handicap before turning pro—but life got in the way). His dream holiday? Hitting the slopes with the family, ski poles in hand, hot chocolate in the other.
As a kid, he wanted to be in the Army—although the Army missed out, we’re glad Batchelors got him instead.
Musically, Matthew’s tastes are classic, with Duran Duran topping the charts for him—because nothing beats the music of your youth, especially when paired with a good car ride.
Full of energy, skill, and just enough dad jokes to keep everyone entertained, Matthew is a true all-rounder both on and off the showroom floor.
