Dom Carass

Head of Finance – Group
Hometown: Originally Harrogate, now York (since the age of 14, and still arguing about the best coffee spots)

Meet Dom, the man who keeps the numbers in line and the group’s finances just slightly less terrifying than they could be. When he’s not making spreadsheets behave, he’s probably dreaming about his ultimate comfort food — a curry from Mumbai Lounge, the kind of meal that’s spicy, satisfying, and worthy of a slow clap.

Cars? Dom’s had his fun. The previous standout? A BMW M140i, “very fun,” he says — which we interpret as “fast enough to make accountants nervous.” Dream car? Likely something equally sleek, but don’t ask him to explain the depreciation; that’s what he’s paid to calculate.

Outside the office, Dom’s still chasing goals — literally. He plays football weekly, which means he spends half his time running, half his time pretending to be a manager, and all his time trying not to pull a hamstring. Fun fact: he was scouted by Leeds as a youngster, which explains why he’s still convinced he could score from midfield on a good day.

Travel-wise, he’s had some serious highs — the trip of a lifetime? Grindelwald in the Alps. Stunning mountains, crisp air, and enough Insta opportunities to make anyone jealous. Seriously, Google it. You’ll thank us later.

Music-wise, Dom is a connoisseur of classics — his go-to? Frank Sinatra, though he’ll happily pivot to anything from indie to pop if the mood strikes. Let’s just say he’s equally at home at a jazz lounge as he is at the office playlist shuffle.

So whether he’s crunching numbers, scoring imaginary goals on a Saturday morning, or planning his next Alpine adventure, Dom keeps the group ticking along with humour, skill, and just the right amount of style.
