Group Marketing Manager – Based in York (but can also be found roaming Ripon and Otley)
Hometown: Skidby – just outside Beverley & Hull
With nearly four decades of advertising under his belt and a passion for anything with four wheels and an engine, David is the marketing engine behind the Batchelors brand—though if you ask him nicely, he might swap the PowerPoint for a power tool or a playlist packed with Queen, AC/DC, and just a little bit of country.
David’s ultimate comfort food? Beef Stroganoff, ideally served up with a side of Formula 1 on the telly and a freshly pruned greenhouse in view (yes, there are two of them—and yes, they’re immaculate).
He’s driven more BMWs, Alfas, and Audis than he can count, and while he’s still waiting on delivery of his dream fleet—a Porsche 911 GT3, Lamborghini Aventador, and a 1967 Mustang Shelby "Eleanor" (all at once, of course)—his love of cars is rivalled only by his ability to DIY just about anything and his encyclopedic iPod that could run for 28 days non-stop without repeating a track. Did we mention he saw Queen live with Freddie? Rock royalty confirmed.
Dream holidays? Maldives has his heart (he’s been, he’ll go again), and New Zealand is on the bucket list. But really, it’s the simple things that matter: David once dreamed of a happy life with a loving family, a house full of music, a good cup of coffee, and one eye on early retirement. The good news? He’s nailed most of it—he’s just working on that last bit.
So whether he’s crafting the next campaign, pottering in the greenhouse, or rocking out in the office, David’s your man for big ideas, bold moves, and a banging playlist.
