A rare opportunity has arisen at our dealership in Ripon for an experienced Vehicle Collection & Delivery Specialist.

Working closing with our Group Used Car Manager, you will be responsible for creating a delivery experience that our customers love, ensuring great quality customer service and acting as an ambassador for our Batchelors brand.

The successful applicant will possess a B or BE category driving licence, have experience of driving a commercial vehicle with a Maximum Authorised Mass of 3,500 kg, be able to use their own initiative and have good organisational and interpersonal skills with a "can do” attitude with a flexible approach to their work.

The Role:

  • Collecting and delivering vehicles across the UK using a single car transporter which has a Maximum Authorised Mass of 3,500 kg. The transporter also has a towing capacity of 3,500 kg via a tri axle trailer allowing two vehicles to be transported.
  • Safely loading vehicles from and to the transporter or trailer.
  • Completing accurate quality assurance checks on all vehicles to maintain high standards, ensuring any damage is noted before and after loading.
  • Providing a first-class customer experience including regular communication to keep customers informed of progress on the delivery or collection
  • Handover of vehicle with the customer making the experience as memorable as possible whilst dealing effectively with customer questions and queries.

Key Competencies:

  • Recent experience in driving a commercial vehicle (van or truck) and towing a trailer is essential
  • A full valid UK driving licence is essential with either a B or BE category
  • Driving Card to be ordered in time or start date if needed.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Be able to use own intiative

  • Reliability in this role is essential

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, although hours of work may differ as there is flexibility to set off earlier for longer journeys.
