    Customer Account Manager

    Do you want an exciting and new challenge?

    If you think that automotive industry is changing, you’re too late because it already has. In a new and innovating concept Batchelors Motor Group require a top-class Customer Account Manager to join our Ripon branch.

    Quite simply we want to provide our customers with one point of contact in our retail outlets encompassing all their sales and service needs.

    You will be involved in the roll out and shaping of this new position. Identifying and installing process, initiating, testing and measuring the results.

    Ultimately as soon as we have one outlet working smoothly your job will change to be that of a Group Customer Account Training Manager. Initially recruiting and training your replacement. You will be working closely with the senior management team offering daily support to a large team across four outlets.

    Batchelors Motor Group is a respected family business with outlets in Ripon and York. We represent two fantastic franchises, Suzuki and Mitsubishi. We would prefer you to have experience of either Suzuki or Mitsubishi, but this is not essential as in- house and manufacturer training will be provided.

    Job Purpose:

    Welcome sales and service customers to our outlet and provide them with the information and the process they require

    Assist our customers in the purchase of new and used cars and associated products.

    Sell workshop hours.

    Maximise our all sales opportunities.

    Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and customer retention.

    Prospecting / Account Maintenance. Ensure that all of your customers receive at least two telephone calls per years. This will include service and MOT reminder calls

    Reports to: Sales manager & Service Manager – One of which will be the appointed line manager

    Hours: 8:30 – 6:00 Mon Fri, Sat 8:30 – 17:00 & Sun 11:00 – 4:00pm working a five and a half day week on a rota basis


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide industry leading customer service
    • To manage all customer interactions on behalf of the retail outlet
    • Raise the profile of the outlet and enhancing the reputation of the business
    • Recognise, process and follow-up all sales prospects
    • Build and maintain great relationships with existing and new customers to maximise future sales
    • Understand vehicle features, characteristics, etc. to maximise sales potential
    • Achieve vehicle sales targets whilst maximising profitability
    • Seek to generate new business by active prospecting and other marketing methods
    • Closing sales by overcoming objections, negotiation, etc.
    • Sell additional dealership services to increase continued custom
    • Maintain accurate records of customer requirements, completing sales contracts and other sales administration
    • Identify service needs and diagnose vehicle running problems where appropriate.
    • Establish understanding and an agreement with the customer of the work required.
    • Manage the handover and administration of customer vehicles.
    • Explain the work carried out on vehicle, ensuring customers full understanding and authorisation.
    • Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction.
    • Follow up in line with dealership procedures.
    • Understand and follow brand service requirements.
    • Maintain product knowledge on the full product range.
    • Always Maintain relevant systems ensuring accuracy.
    • Accurately complete job cards and reports, including any descriptions of faults reported by the custome.

    Experience / Requirements:

    You will have worked within a similar role. Willing to attend manufacture training. Competent at using ICT, Maths & English.
